Forgiveness is the way to better health.

Forgiveness brings health and healing! It is like a balm.

Unforgiveness breeds bitterness, bad blood, and therefore affects the body metabolism leading to disorder or the body not being at ease; in other words the body becomes dis-ease.
In short, disease sets in!

In essence we all need grace to forgive readily.

In the just concluded: Open Heavens meeting hosted by Cornerstone Community Church held at Singapore Expo, Singapore, an incident happened that drive this point home. My wife and I were involved with many other ministers of the Gospel in ministering to the sick at the end of the Dr Heidi Baker's preaching. My wife told me after the meeting that as she was ministering to a woman who was afflicted with slight mental disorder that the Holy Spirit spoke to her that the woman is holding somebody down in unforgiveness. That that is the root of the affliction, and that if she would release the person and totally forgives then the healing would take place. The woman affirmed this is true! To the consternation of my wife, she said she would not forgive, even with pleading she did not forgive! Hence, no healing takes place. She went home like she came.

Beloved, let us learn to forgive and from the heart also!

"So likewise shall my heavenly Father do also unto you, if ye from your hearts forgive not every one his brother their trespasses."(Matt 18:35)

This is the Lord Jesus Christ admonition to His disciples. Forgiveness must not just be from the mouth; it must flow from the heart of love with positive action as an expression of that act of forgiveness.

God's abundance grace be upon all of us! Amen!!

Passion For His Purity, Power & Glory

It was a sweet experience indeed!

At the just concluded Ope Heaven Meeting with Dr Heidi Baker, Leslie Anne, et al!

Bro Marvin Lee sent this beautiful picture to me today which I will like to share with all who visit this sight. This was at the Singapore Expo in Singapore last weekend. This was a good remembrance of the meeting. There was such an outpouring at the meeting.

May we be consumed with His holy Passion for Purity, Power & Glory in our generation in Jesus' name. Amen.

Incredible and Unbelievable!

We are in the seasons of Signs & Wonders.
A friend sent this to me this morning and it was interesting.
I will like to share with all readers here on this site.
Read this:

"A nurse on the pediatric ward, before listening to the little ones chests, would plug the stethoscope into their ears and let them listen to their own hearts. Their eyes would always light up with awe, but she never got a response equal to four-year old David's comment.

Gently she tucked the stethoscope into his ears and placed the disk over his heart. "Listen", she said..........."What do you suppose that is?" He drew his eyebrows together in a puzzled line and looked up as if lost in the mystery of the strange tap - tap - tapping deep in his chest. Then his face broke out in a wondrous grin and he asked, "Is that Jesus knocking?""

Waoh! Even from a small child!
Indeed, out of the mouth of babes and suckling, God has ordained strength.
Amen!

The Strait Times Interview of Pastor John Ekundayo

NIGERIAN PASTOR John Ekundayo (second from right), 47, came to Singapore about three years ago to pursue a master's degree in organizational leadership and do mission work. He says all Nigerians share a hopeful attitude about their lives and future. With him are his wife, Mary, 43, and children (from left) Samuel, 22, Gloria, 11, Grace, eight, and Elizabeth, 14. -- ST PHOTO: LIM WUI LIANG

EXPAT EYE

It's hard to keep a happy Nigerian down

By Tan Dawn Wei

JOHN Ekundayo never used to look people in the eye when he was talking to them. In his home country, that would have been considered rude.

But his Singaporean friend told him the opposite was true here. And so the Nigerian has been slowly training his eyes to not look elsewhere while in conversation with someone.

'I'm still getting used to it, but that was a culture shock to me,' said the 47-year-old with a laugh.

The youthful-looking African is a pastor at Cornerstone Community Church in Katong, where he leads the African Fellowship, which has grown from a handful of church-goers to nearly 100-strong in two years.

Nigerians make up the largest number, but there are also South Africans, Ghanaians and Cameroonians in the congregation. Most are students here.

The Lagos native - who first came to Singapore nearly three years ago to pursue a master's degree in organisational leadership and do mission work - does not just share God's word with them.

He gives his congregation an orientation of Singapore and practical tips like: Don't overstay.

'Many Nigerians hear about Singapore being a First World country and they just want to come. They'll sell their car, house and come with their savings, expecting to find a job and get a new life,' said the father of four whose home is a four-room HDB flat in Ubi.

The former civil engineer's appeal to Singaporeans: Give Africans equal opportunity here, especially when it comes to work.

'There are some jobs Singaporeans don't want to take, like those that require physical strength. Employ the Africans!'

Q What's the best line to use on people who say all Nigerians are scammers?

A I think they're naive and uninformed and I'll tell them that a few bad apples do not make the whole pack bad. In any case, in every society and nation, there are always a few bad examples.

Q Tell us a little-known fact about Nigeria.

A Nigerians were once voted the happiest people on earth. There is that hopeful attitude in every Nigerian even when the situation is really nothing to write home about.

Most Nigerians are realists who also firmly believe that they can make it even under adverse circumstances.

Q The Nigerian film industry, also known as Nollywood, produces over 2,000 movies each year. What kind of film gets Nigerians flocking to the cinemas?

A Most movies in Nigeria are actually home videos and they basically address the family and society both at home and abroad with some humour.

This is one of the reasons why Nollywood is making waves in the United States and Europe, where many Nigerians are residing. Nollywood is the third-largest film industry in the world after Hollywood and Bollywood.

Q With an estimated population of 140 million and rising, how do you suggest the country cope with this explosive growth?

A There was a time when we had a government that promoted a campaign of four children per family. This really worked then as the economy was in a downturn. People in traditional Nigerian society love to have many children, especially males. A marriage that produces no child is considered cursed!

What I think the present government under President Umaru Musa Yar'Adua - who is doing well - should cap it at three children per family and impose a tax on anyone wanting more.

Q How do you tell a Nigerian apart from other Africans?

A An average Nigerian is full of life and likes to express himself boldly, confidently and cheerfully. Most Nigerians won't keep to themselves. They like to interact, ask questions and may talk loudly. We like also to banter and exchange jokes.

Q There's a proverb in Nigeria that goes: 'The frog does not jump in the daytime without reason.' Please enlighten.

A It is like saying, there's no smoke without fire.

Pastor John Interview in Strait Times of 6th January 2008

Dear readers,
I give all the glory to God that I was honoured by God to be interviewed
on the most popular tabloid in Singapore, the Strait Times on Sunday, referred
to as the Sunday Times. I and my family appeared on the 'EXPAT' Column page
interviewed by Dawn Tan Wei.
This is the Lord's doing and it is marvellous in our eyes.
It is a tip of the iceberg of glorious things God spoke of
doing in our lives in 2008 and also in the lives of all that are faithful to him.

BRAVO PRESIDENT UMARU YAR ADUA OF NIGERIA

BRAVO, PRESIDENT MUSA UMARU YAR ADUA!

Please read this. I believe the Nigerian President Yar Adua is indeed living up to
his declaration that he is a servant leader. This is a sign of accountability which I
think has not been happening before in Nigeria.

NATIONS, ABUJA, NIGERIA Reported by Yusuf Alli Tuesday, 8th January, 2008

Abuja

President Umaru Yar’Adua has returned 1,004,390,265. 36 to the treasury as last year’s unspent funds.

A document exclusively obtained by The Nation shows that the unspent votes, made up of book balances and personnel costs, were remitted to the treasury through two banks.

The banks are Zenith and IBTC Chartered.

The breakdown of the book balances is as follows: Zenith Bank(Main) , N5,972,271.78; IBTC Chartered Bank N160,945,802.17; Zenith Bank(Adhoc), N18,734,275.30; December 2007 allocation, N818,709,914.67.

The personnel costs are N8, 001.44 and N20, 000.00.

A source at the Federal Ministry of Finance in Abuja said the President directed that the funds be returned – in line with his administration’s new fiscal policy.

The source said: "In the past, such votes were usually shared as gifts but the President said this practice should be discontinued.

"This policy of returning funds to the treasury came as a result of the Federal Government’s determination to ensure judicious use of funds.

"The President is also sending a signal to all the tiers of government that they should follow his footsteps."

The Special Adviser to the President (Communications), Mr. Olusegun Adeniyi, confirmed the return of the unspent funds, saying it was in line with the fiscal discipline of the government.

A national daily on Sunday reported that the House of Representatives had returned about N7billion to the treasury.

In December, apart from putting a hold on the award of contracts by ministries and agencies, the Federal Ministry of Finance mopped up unexpended allocations.

HIS HELPING HANDS-COMMENTS (1)

I will be featuring some comments of the soon-to-be published book-HIS HELPING HANDS.
I will, first of all, be posting the comment of my friend in ministry, Pastor Sam Adeyemi, not the Senior Pastor of Daystar Christian Centre, Lagos, Nigeria but of Overcomers Christian Ministries International, Columbus, Ohio, USA. This is his comment:

"I first met with Pastor John Ekundayo when I was posted as senior pastor to the local church where he was an associate minister. I was received with a great reluctance by many of the existing leaders except a few. Pastor John was one the few. I was touched by his complete humility and readiness in yielding to God’s will. I’m a witness to several manifestation of the hand of God upon him for favour and lifting.

If I will tell of people who have enjoyed the help of God, Pastor John sure will be on top of the list. He surely has the credentials to do justice to the theme “HIS HELPING HAND”. I am confident this book will be a tremendous blessing to you."

PROPHETIC INSIGHTS 2008 By Pastor E A Adeboye, Nigeria foremost preacher with a prophetic voice.

Here is a prophetic insight into 2008 by the General Overseer of RCCG, Nigeria.

Nigerians should be prepared for new things which have never been heard of this year, Pastor Adejare Adeboye, General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), said yesterday in Lagos at a special service to usher in the New Year.

"God will do a new thing in Nigeria this year," he said, adding: "If we, his children will continue to pray, the hot spots in Nigeria will begin to cool down".

The cleric urged Nigerians to be full of prayers for President Umaru Yar’Adua.

Adeboye warned that floods in 2008 may be more than what was witnessed in 2007 in the international scene, stressing that "to be forewarned is to be forearmed".

"We must also pray against the return of destructive hurricanes, this year," he added.

The General Overseer said that 2008 would witness major medical and scientific breakthroughs globally.

He urged Christians to partner with God to accomplish projects that had proved unattainable last year.

He noted that accelerated promotion and the deeper experiences of God awaited many.

Earlier in a message entitled "Behold I will do a new thing," taken from Isaiah 43:19, Adeboye said that God throughout the scriptures, had done new things which changed the lives of many.

He listed the parting of the Red Sea, the crumbling of the Walls of Jericho through shouts of victory and the defeat of a giant (Goliath) by a little boy (David), as some of such issues, saying God was prepared to bring Nigeria to that level.

The cleric admonished the congregation to be on God’s side as new things could be negative for those who were not on His side.

A mammoth crowd of Christian faithful thronged the camp to offer prayers for a blissful New Year.

Thank you for taking your time to read. Please leave a comment.
