BY THE WAY:
I am sorry for bringing this post late.
I travlelled into the hinterland of Ekiti State Nigeri where my old mother, Mama Mary Aina Ekundayo lived with my immediate elder sister in Ikere-Ekiti. This is a distance of about 400km to Lagos, Nigeria.
It was joy for me to see my old mother at 97 again! She is still walking to her church-one of the many parishes of the Redeeemed Christain Church of God (RCCG) in the town.
She was by God's grace in good health recollecting some of the events during the naming ceremony of my youngest daughter, Grace, about nine years ago with accurarcy. I bless the name of the Lord for this.
HGC 2008 Final Night-Sat Anointing Service:
It was joy Unspeakable for me and all the foreign delegates as Pastor Enoch Adeboye personally anointed all of us with oil!
He told the ministers during the usual "Thank You Lord" prayer session at the end of the Anointing service that now we need to water the anointing we have received by doing three things:
1. Worship
2. Giving
3. Staying away from sin
It was a night to be much remebered by many.
Merry Chrismas and a Propsperous New Year in advance!
Blessings!!

Update on Holy Ghost Congress 2008-The D-Day
Dear Friends,
Tonight will be great at Redemption Camp venue of Holy Ghost Congress (HGC) 2008!
Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer (popularly called by many as Daddy GO by many of his spiritual sons and daughters in over 10, 000 parishes worldwide) said yesterday that God told him He will do what He had never done before the world began tonight at the Congress. He will be given the message titled: JOY UNSPEAKABLE ably assisted by other specially anointed servants of God from all over the world.
Yesternight Pastor Enoch Adeboye shared on the "In the Upper Room".
This was basically the encounter that happened to Peter from Acts 2 to Acts 12 in the Bible.
After Pentecost, Peter was no more a failure, he could the promise of the Lord to him that he will be fishers of men coming to pass, he was unstoppable as all who tried to stop or meddle in his destiny were dealt with severely by God. In fact, they all died mysteriously! He ushered us into a time of serious prayers so that we can all have the "Upper Room Encounter" like Peter. He rounded up by praying for us in powerfully way commanding instant judgment on all who are trying to hinder or block our way to fulfilling God's counsel for our lives.
I will keep you posted again as I need to go and prepare now for the memorable meeting.
I was told CNN covered the Congress last year. I know CBN is already on ground.
I was on the table with Victor Oladokun representing CBN yesterday at the Redemption Resort where foreign delegates were accommodated.
In addition, I want to use this medium to specially thank Bro Bola Adewara for coming to interview me yesterday and for putting my sermons on Nigeriasermonsonline. What a honour! The Lord will honour you and bless the work of your hands sir.
Moreover, I want to appreciate Bro Lekan Otufodunrin too for his tireless efforts at NigeriaChristiannews. You shall be rewarded. Thank you for your call sir.
Blessings to all my friends worldwide!

Update on Holy Ghost Congress 2008-Wed 17th Dec
This was the 3rd day in the Redemption Camp, Lagos, Nigeria.
It was a glorious night on Wednesday!
Among many singers from all over the world who ministered at the Congress was Ron Kelony! His announcement threw the gathering into a thunderous roaring.
His ministration was powerful......rendering his famous track: Rightoeusness, Peace and Joy in the Holy Ghost-that is the Kingdom of God! He ended with shout of Joy and admiration!
Pastor Enoch Adeboye ministered on the Joy of the Freed. It was a rememberance of the old days of the deeper life-men and women of God came to the altar and cried unto God passionate to deliver them from the enenmy within holding them captive to sin...the little foxes.....Song of Solomon 2:15...... and thereby bringing them into the devil's captivity.
How we need to go back to those good old days when we just accepted Christ as our Lord and Saviour!
In the early morning, God gave me an encounter!
It was a night worth remebering!

Holy Ghost Congress 2008: Update-Joy Unspeakable!
The theme for this year's edition of the Holy Ghost Congress is "Joy Unspeakable".
In His Presence, there is fullness of Joy!
Love and Joy from the Redemption Camp of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Lagos, Nigeria. This is a camp that is like a town with such facilities like a University, Secondary School, Primary School and Kindergarten as well. In addition, there are branches of about three banks here in the camp. Many christians bought plots of land and built houses here on the camp. In fact, there are some who live inside the camp and work in the city of Lagos-a city of about 14 Million people.
There are lots of funs and attractions as people from all over the world are here.
We are in the midst of a big Annual event tagged: Holy Ghost Congress 2008 with the theme: "Joy Unspeakable". This Friday will witness a lot of people not less than 3 Million in one single night..........likely to be the biggest gathering in the world from all the continents of the world.
It will be covered live on the internet: Link to watch it live is www.rccg.org
Yesternight was a night of Restoration: Joel 2:25-27.
Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye ministered powerfully under the unction of the Holy Spirit!
At the end of the service, all the foreign delegates from all the continents of the world were ushered into the palatial and anointed office of the General Overseer of RCCG, Pastor E. A. Adeboye. He and his amiable wife, Pastor Mrs Folu Adeboye, usually called Mummy GO, shook our hands, addressed and prayed for all of us. What a honour!
I want to specially thank my Senior Pastor, Pastor Yang Tuck Yoong, Cornerstone Community Church, Singapore, his amiable wife, Pastor Daphne Yang,a mother in Israel, and the leaders of the church for sponsoring me on this trip.
Today is going to be another glorious day in His Presence again.
Blessings!

Update: God's goodness in Nigeria!
Hi Friends!
It has been wonderful ministering in my country of birth, Nigeria, once the most happiest people on earth!
The people have been so expectant and God has been proving Himself in Salvation, Healings, Miracles, Signs & Wonders!
I am now in the city of Port Harcourt, in the Southern part of Nigeria. I left Lagos on Wednesday. I will be leaving Port Harcourt for Lagos, Nigeria where I will join more than 2 Million worshippers at the Redemption Camp of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG). It is going to be great!
My host in Port Harcourt is Pastor Kunle Omotoso, of RCCG, Victory Centre Zonal Headquarters, Ogbunabali By Eastern Bye Pass. I also ministered in LivingSpring Zonal Headquarters pastored by my university friend and classmate, Engr Bayo Oyebanji who also works with an oil company in the peaceful garden city of Port Harcourt.
I also met in 'flesh and blood', my good and humble friend in ministry, Bishop Mike Amamieye of Mike Amamieye World Outreach Ministries based in Port Harcourt, who had travelled globally to many countries with the Gospel of the Lord in a passionate evangelistic drive spanning 2 decades! We had been communicating through the internet all along. God is good!
I want to say thank you to all these my friends. Not forgetting to also mention also Pastor Samuel Okunola, Faith In Christ Bible Church International, Ketu, Lagos and Dr Bankole Jefferson of Mercy Tabernacle, Ogba Ikeja. I really appreciate all of you . You are blessings to the Body of Christ.
It is well!
Blessings!!

Open Letter to President Musa Yar Adua of Nigeria
Time for Re-inventing not Re-cycling Leadership
It will be recalled that while reading one of the daily newspapers online from my base, Singapore, I was constrained to write this piece. I just read that Mr President has sent his list of would-be ministers to the National Assembly. In addition, it was alleged they are some from that belong to the "old brigade" on the lists, though not confirmed yet. I think it high time someone out there told our leaders, especially our President, to stop all this re-cycling of men and women who, in the first instance, landed us in this messy situation our beloved country, Nigeria, is today! People that had contributed significantly in the past can be included in governance not people who are political jobbers or sycophants,
President Yar Adua it is high time you started on re-inventing leadership. There are genuine and patriotic Nigerians out there in Nigeria and all over the globe who are upright and ready to serve. Just like Chief Obasanjo discovered the likes of Soludo, Ezekwesili, Okonjo-Iweala, Akunyli, Ribadu, El-Rufai, etc. These people cited here are not perfect but they made their imprints on the sand of time in governance in Nigeria. Please President Yar Adua discover your own men and women that will usher in the transformational "change we need", in the word of President-elect Barrack Obama of USA, before sycophants that surround you ruin your good name and administration!
This is coming at a time when the newly sworn comrade Governor of Edo State is saying that “commitment, competence and integrity” will guide him in selecting who will work with him to lift up Edo State out of the doldrums. He said it empathically that political partisanship will be the last yardstick in selecting men and women who will serve. This is coming from a leader who has vivid vision of his mission backed up with strong core-value. It is on record that organizations that have enjoyed sustained peaked-performance otherwise referred to as “competitive advantage” have strong vision and values.
One should be patience with President Yar Adua as leadership of an enigmatic nation like Nigeria was thrust on him unexpectedly by his predecessor, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo. One thing that made him qualified then for the topmost job was his knack for integrity, uprightness and incorrigibility exhibited in Katsina State he governed for eight years. These are the core-values of Musa Yar Adua as a person. Can these core values be transplanted, implanted or superimposed on the giant nation of Nigeria with all her various diversities?
Yar Adua should know that Nigeria and Nigerians need re-orientation if we are to belong to the best 20 economies in the world in the year 2020. In any case, this can just be a mere slogan and become moribund the same way other well-intentioned policies and programmes a la MAMSER, OFN, Vision 2020, etc. It is high time, right values were injected or inculcated into the fabric of the Nigerian nation that is systematically being ravaged by a cancerous corruption. How many people are in politics or involved in governance today to truly serve selflessly? Is our society not really after what you can make or achieve while in office. It will be recalled that early this year when Dr Oby Ezekwesili, one time Minister of Solid Minerals Resources and Education, also called “Madam Due Process” was on official assignment in Singapore, I was priviledged to ask her a question: “What was the biggest challenge you had while in office?” She responded by saying that people from her immediate constituency wanted to corrupt her by telling her to bending the rules and some demanding money from her with the belief that everyone in office should be able to share money like father Christmas! She refused and she earned the accolade of a wicked woman! This shows the extent of depravity in values in the Nigerian society. It is such an embarrassing situation that even many parents/guardians are now no more asking their children/wards how they made their money! Just ride in a big car and build a big a house in the city, and then you are a celebrity. We need a desperate transformation before it is too late.
Finally, I will like Mr President to search and seek for people who will be co-pilot with him in the same plane of “servant-leadership” that is already in the air. These should be people who are not corrupt like him; not people PDP big-wigs and chieftains are pressurizing him to take on-board.
In conclusion, your dogged addiction to the rule of law is commendable and second to none in any dispensation in Nigeria so far! Mr President, please it is high time you came up with Vision backed up by Values to drive our dearly beloved and blessed country, Nigeria, forward. You will not fail. We are praying for you especially that your health will carry you through.
It is well with our country Nigeria!

BACK TO BETHEL

Jacob ran away from his brother Esau
after supposedly stealing his blessing. He
left Beersheba with fright heading
towards Haran. On the way, there was an
encounter Jacob had that was to be a
memorable one. He got to a certain place
on his journey. He had to rest at the place
as it was getting to night time. He took a
stone for a pillow-this really showed the
poverty state of Jacob. He had a vision
that made him to realize God was in that
place originally called Luz.
He exclaimed:
“‘Surely, the LORD is in this place, and I did not know it.’ And he was afraid and said, ‘How awesome is this place! This is none other than the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven!’” (Gen 28:16-17).

Thanks for your patience in reading this blog from time to time.

COMMENTS ON HIS HELPING HANDS
Some ministers made comments on the book: His Helping Hands.
You can read them:
John Ekundayo is above all else, a man of prayer and
faith. Through the years that I have been privileged to be
acquainted with him, I have been stirred up many times by
his discipline of prayer, his fiery zeal for the Lord and his
amazing walk of faith. Just beside my office in the church is
our prayer room and I have walked pass that room on countless
occasions, when no one is around, only to hear groanings,
interspersed with prayer and speaking in other tongues,
and to see a man lying prostrate on the floor seeking the face
of God. That’s the posture I have come to identify my friend
and colleague, John Ekundayo. He knows where to go to
when he is in need. Not to the Senior Pastor’s office, but to
the Throneroom of the King Himself. So when he writes a
book on “Helping Hands”, you have got to know it is real.
Like the Psalmist of old who cried out: “I will lift up my eyes
to the hills, from whence comes my help? My help comes
from the Lord who made heaven and earth”, John understands
where his help comes from. If the Lord can make
heaven and earth, surely he is able to help you. This book
is all about trust; about who you look for when in need and
where do you go to when you are in trouble. May the Lord
inspire you through this delightful book which I commend
heartily to you.
——
Pastor Yang Tuck Yoong, Senior Pastor, CornerstoneCommunity Church, Singapore
I
first met with Pastor John Ekundayo when I was posted assenior pastor to the local church where he was an associate
minister. I was received with a great reluctance by many of
the existing leaders except a few. Pastor John was one the
few. I was touched by his complete humility and readiness in
yielding to God’s will. I’m a witness to several manifestation
of the hand of God upon him for favour and lifting.
If I will tell of people who have enjoyed the help of God,
Pastor John sure will be on top of the list. He surely has
the credentials to do justice to the theme “HIS HELPING
HAND”. I am confident this book will be a tremendous
blessing to you.
Pastor Sam Adeyemi, Overcomers Christian Ministries
International, Columbus, Ohio. USA.
His Helping Hands will definitely inspire you to walk
with the Lord more intimately. I have known John to be a
man of humility and prayer, found on his face before God
more than anywhere. His determination and perseverance
of faith will thrust you into an adventure of knowing and
hearing His voice for yourself as you run through the pages
of this book. Be bold and take this journey of faith together
with His Helping Hands!
Karen Gan, Regional Director, CfaN Asia Office,
Singapore, Christ for all Nations. The Ministry of
Evangelist Reinhard Bonnke.
I met Pastor John in Singapore, far away from our
common homeland, Nigeria. He was new in town and I was
a visiting preacher. What struck me at first is the simple unas
sumingway in which he carried himself, what further struck
me was his humility. At the meeting, I wondered whether the
many stories that he told were true! Over the course of many
months however, I found out that the stories were not only
true; I found a man who has sold himself to walk with God.
I found a sincere servant of the gospel; I found a precious
person and a wise minister that I have now grown to love.
I actively recommend “His Helping Hands” to all who will
look up within its pages. There are nuggets so rich that has
ripened as fruits of a practical walk with the Lord.
Pastor John dealt with practical issues of life and
Godliness. It is very obvious that Pastor John is of the Old
School, he believes in a literal faith that flows from a literal
Word; as spoken from the mouth of the Living Lord. Can
we afford to believe in a God who does miracles in our post
modern age? Should we submit to the jaded claim of a faith
that denies the power that is at its source? Pastor John uses
many stories to show that the God, who answers prayers
in South West Nigeria, is the same God who answers His
people’s cry in modern Singapore. God will not despise any
soul that cries to Him. I came from this book praying, I hope
you will too.
Pastor Sayo Ajiboye, Pastor, Victory Court (RCCG),
Coordinator, Mission Africa International, Bellevue WA
USA
The title of the book by my long standing partner and
friend-Pastor John Ekundayo-has continued to captivate my
heart. This I believe is because I very much know that we
can do nothing without God. This book is inspired of the
Holy Spirit to encourage us to get more of God’s help-as
we await our soon-coming Lord Jesus Christ, this end-time.
Read and re-read His Helping Hands with sensitivity to the
Holy Spirit and you shall be marvellously helped of God (2
Chronicles 26:15) in Jesus’ name.
Rev Gbenga Isaac Olodude, General Overseer, Love
Messengers Ministries International, Yola, Adamawa
State, Nigeria.
It is a wonderful compilation of adventures with the Lord
based on faith in God and trust in the sanctity of His Word.
It is a must read for all Christians who desires to walk in
faith and live a prosperous life. I am sure the book will bless
many

FIGHT TO FINISH-Watch Out
Watch Out for This Sunday@ Cornerstone African Congregation, Singapore!
The title of the message this Sunday is quite interesting.
In the journey to Zion, we are involved in a daily fight.
It is not the physical fight against flesh and blood as the Bible says in
Ephesians 6:10-18.
I am amazed to see many accepting defeat easily as though succumbing to the situations
and circumstances they found themselves in dictating to them or dominating their spheres of
life!

The fight here is not physical but spiritual. It is analogous to sportsmen/women competing as
we are currently watching events reaching critical stages at the Beijing Olympics,
Jesus Christ, who is the Author and Finisher, of our Faith said: “But he who endures to the
end shall be saved.” (Matt 24:13). Jesus was our perfect example who fought to the
finishing line gloriously (John 17:4): “I have glorified You on the earth. I have finished the
work which You have given Me to do.” Without getting to the finishing line competing
according to laid down rules there is no honour! Apostle Paul likewise admonished us to
“Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life” (1 Tim 6:12); as he gave testimony about
his own life later when he said: “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have
kept the faith.” May we be counted worth by His grace to be found faithful to fight to finish
gloriously in this wicked and adulterous generation.
If you in Singapore reading this, then it is an opportunity to come discover how you can be
winners in this great fight going on. No one is a bystander or onlooker: we are involved!
Be it in your career, marriage, academic, business, etc. So come and discover, how to win!
Poser:
Who is winning in the big fight for the Olympic Gold Medal in the Football event at the
Beijing Olympics tomorrow Saturday, 23rd August?
The kick-off time is 12 noon Singapore time and 5am Nigeria time.
Sounding patriotic, I will vote for Nigeria, my beloved country, to win again a la Atlanta 1996
Olympics, USA. It can happen again. These Nigerian boys, though young are so determined
to do Nigeria, their country, proud.
No big names here, but young men with lion hearts a la David in the Bible. That is what
you need also to win in life: that is if the Lord is on your side as well.
It is well!
Blessings!

RCCG, KEPONG, Malaysia: GOD@WORK
Blessed be God for His Mercies & Faithfulness! The Lord Jesus was at work in Kepong, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia last Sunday.
It was at RCCG, Kepong, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
The topic of the message that day was "Walking In Divine Favour".
It was a special anointing service.
I want to appreciate Pastor George who gave me the opportunity to minister in
RCCG, Kepong, Malaysia and also all the leaders and workers in the church.
Even though Pastor George was in Lagos, Nigeria at the Redeemed Christian Church of God
(RCCG) Convention, I was warmly received by the leaders of the church led by Pastor
Barnabas.

SET TIME TO BRING FORTH
This is a new month. It is the eighth month of the year, 2008. Eight stands for ‘New Beginning’. In somebody’s life, God is about to birth a new thing starting from today. It may not appear so right now; you may not even feel anything! Your feeling has nothing to do with it. In addition, people normally refer to a special person visiting as an “august visitor”. In this very month of August, 2008, there is somebody reading this newsletter that will be uniquely visited in Jesus’ name. It will be a Vivid Visitation that will be
noised around just like that of Mary, in the Bible.
“And the LORD visited Sarah as He had said, and the LORD did for Sarah as He had spoken. “For Sarah conceived and bore Abraham a son in his old age, at the set time of which God had spoken to him.” (Gen 21: 1, 2)
This is the Scripture that had been rolling in my heart all along! It is meant for someone out there reading this piece. Sarah was visited. What kind of visitation? God spoke to Sarah and Abraham before, and it was like it will never come to pass. Medically there was no hope for them-as they had passed the age of child bearing.
“And the LORD visited Sarah as He had said, and the LORD did for Sarah as He had spoken”
But because God spoke, there must be a change. The Bible says:
“For He spoke, and it was done; He commanded, and it stood fast.” (Psalm 33: 9).
God promised visiting Sarah; and He did visit Sarah in a vivid way! The visitation started with a conception. There is someone as you are reading this; you are conceiving your restoration. Another one, it is your season of breakthroughs! To another, it is time to bring forth that divine idea that will catapult or shoot you up from where you are to where you are supposed to be! All you need to do is believe God, believe His Word and believe His prophets-his ministers who are being sent to you.
Someone is silently complaining I have believed His Word or promise for a long time and there is no manifestation yet; what should I do then? My reply is keep on believing; for He that will come will come; live by faith on a consistently basis.
“Therefore do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward.”
“For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise: “For yet a little while, And He who is coming will come and will not tarry.” (Heb 10:35-37). After the conception, Sarah eventually brought forth.
When? In the book of Genesis, Sarah brought forth at the “set time”. We must keep on believing God until we get to the set time of God. At the set time the manifestation must come forth. Sarah brought forth her man-child called Isaac. In between, were 9 months of waiting patiently! David said, I patiently waited for the Lord and He inclined unto me and heard my cry (Psalm 40:1-4a).
The Lord will hear you this month; this is your time and turn to be visited! Remember, Sarah was visited; but it took 9 months for the manifestation of Isaac. Many would have thought Sarah was infected with fibroid or tumor growth at the age of 90 when in reality she was pregnant! Do not worry as some may not understand the dealing of God with you; but keep your focus on the Lord; the author and finisher of your faith! He will finish what He has begun in you as it is written:
“Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ” (Phil 1:6) .
There is someone reading this piece , you have been waiting for long and it is like you are about to give up. Do not quit! Something is about to break forth. Your light is breaking forth from obscurity! Arise, it is your time for total turn around! In this month, there shall be no more delay. Expect that visitation that will make your expectation to change to manifestation.
‘Thus says the Lord GOD: “None of My words will be postponed any more, but the word which I speak will be done,” says the Lord GOD.’
“You will arise and have mercy upon Zion; for the time to favour her, yes, the set time has come.” – Psalm 102:13. “Therefore say to them, ‘thus says the Lord GOD: “None of My words will be postponed any more, but the word which I speak will be done,” says the Lord GOD.’” (Ezek 21:28)
There shall be no more postponement. Expect God to show up in your marriage this month and destroy that yoke of oppression. Be eagerly expecting Him to manifest in your career or business this month Remember, expectation is the mother of manifestation.
Your Word of breaking forth is coming. Someone you are there, God is singling you out of the crowd, in the midst of chaos and crisis of the world around you. This is your time to show case His glory and goodness in the land of the living.
PRAYER POINTS
O Lord my God remember me for good this day as you remember Hannah in Shiloh; and cause me to bring forth and breakthrough in Jesus’ name. 1 Sam 1:19b.
.
O Lord my Father, turn unto me as you turn unto David in His father’s house, and favour me by giving me a lifting beyond my imagination (Psalm 86:16-17).
What to do this month to accelerate His Visitation?
1. Get closer to Him in His Word.
2. Read, Meditate & Do the Word.
3. Pray fervently and with faith.
4. Maintain a regular time of prayer as you do for your meals. Jer 33:3 & James 5:16-17.
5. Walk uprightly and in the Spirit. Psalm 84:11
6. Be expectant. The expectation of the righteous shall be granted says the Bible. Prov 10:24b.
7. Be always thankful. A man of God, Dr Benson Idahosa said: “If you are thankful, then your tank will be full.” One of my mentors, Bishop Wale Oke is wont to say: “Gratitude is the master key to greater release”.
Thank the Lord for answering you beyond your asking and thinking. Eph 3:20.

I AM COMING OUT!
I read a piece sent out to all friends and partners of the minstry of a friend, Bishop Michael O. Amamieye, Port Harcourt, Nigeria, and I was tremendously blessed. I then asked for his permission to let it out on my blog to be a blessing to all readers of this site.
You will surely be imparted as you read!
"Exodus is a very important book of the Bible. This is so because all through your life on earth, you will need to have many Exodus experience. The first five words of the Bible states, “In the beginning God created…” Gen. 1:1. God is a good God. Everything He does, He leaves His signature of perfection. James 1:17. Even after He made man, He left His signature. Man was declared good, in fact, very good. Gen. 1:31. The Book of Beginnings closes with these five words, “…in a coffin in Egypt.” Gen. 50:26. The good creation of God called man was put in a coffin in Egypt. Egypt simply means black or dark. God the Father of lights created light beings called man. But this man eventually found himself locked up in a coffin in the regions of darkness. The coffin or casket is the end of story for whoever is in it. So for man, the end of story in this life is a coffin.
When you find a full stop, you can make it a continuum if you add several other dots. If you are told by someone: you are stupid. The stop puts an end to it. But you can add several other dots: they said, you are stupid…but you say, that is your opinion. Then you make your statement. Your statement changes everything they have said. It is the one who has the final say who wins the fight. Exodus is God’s dots on the story of man. The Devil thought that it was all over with man placing him in a coffin in the regions of the dead. God just added some dots and we have Exodus. Exodus is an Old Testament Greek word which means a departure.
God made a statement to the Devil. It was like telling the Devil, before you start having a party that you have succeeded in putting my dream man in a coffin in the gulag, hold it, he is coming out! Just shout, I am coming out! If the weight is too much and it seems like it will grind you, scream on top of your voice, I am coming out! Shout it until those around you think that you are going crazy because most times for you to get well you have to go wild. No normal human being has made a difference. It takes abnormal or rather supernormal people to make a difference. Make that
difference today. Just shout, I am coming out!
Let me just put this in here, deliverance is not a ministry God has given to some selected few. Deliverance is a daily bread from God for His beloved children. That is why Jesus taught us to pray daily, “…deliver us from evil…” Matt. 6:13. You will never out grow this. That is why Exodus will be a continuous experience as long as you live here on earth. You will always need to be delivered from something or someone or somewhere or sometime. Somebody needs to be delivered from your present status to a better one. Someone needs to be delivered from sin to right living. Someone needs to be delivered from your present job to a better one. Someone needs to be delivered from singleness to a happy married life.
God set His machinery in motion to bring His people out of the coffin in Egypt. How would He do that? He has to use a man by name Moses from our text. God will always use human beings to bring you out of any coffin in Egypt to your Promised Land. Make no mistake about this: God will use human beings to bless you. That was why to save us, He had to become a Man, the Man Christ Jesus. How would Moses do this? By God’s word. The word carries the force that can deliver and force you out of any coffin you have been placed. The ministry of reconciliation or release can only be accomplished by the word of reconciliation. 2 Cor. 5:18,19.
From our text, God said to Moses, you will go to Egypt where My son is put in a coffin. You will say to Pharaoh, Let My son go. No matter the coffin you have been forced into by human opinion, society, government policies, etc. By the word of the God of Moses whom I serve, you will come out in Jesus name. Amen. All Moses was required to do was to tell Pharaoh what Jehovah said. It is a simple assignment. Go and tell Pharaoh, Let My people go. You will assume that the moment Moses went the first time, it will just happen. Moses went to Pharaoh more than ten times repeating the
same message. The message never changes even though the methods changes with time and people.
I know that if you were Moses, after some few trials, you would have given up. Moses was under command. He went each time God came to him. God’s message never changed until it came to pass. I want to challenge you to keep saying to your Pharaoh until you see the change that God told you about. Don’t give up at the first few trials. Go again. Elijah told his servant to go six times. At last, the seventh time, he saw cloud like a man’s hand. 1 Kings 18:42-44. Elisha told Naaman the leper to deep seven times before he was healed of his leprosy. I don’t know how many times you have to speak the word or plant your best seed or make a sacrifice or do
something that will bring the change God has spoken about. Do it, because very soon what God said will become real for all to see. You will come out like the Israelites. They came out of Egypt with great substance. I see you march triumphantly from that coffin in Egypt. I see you come out to the limelight. I see you rise out of obscurity. Your star will shine again.
See you at the top."

FROM DESPERATION TO EMANCIPATION
In the picture, Dr Heidi Baker, the fervent and fiery apostle & missionary to Mozambique, posed with Pastors John & Mary, at the "Open Heaven Conference" in Singapore, January 2008.
This week, enjoy reading from another chapter of the book: "HIS HELPING HANDS", due to be released soon from the stable of Xulon Press, USA.
Read, Remember and Retain for, the Bible says: "wisdom is profitable to direct".
DESPERATION TO EMANCIPATION
“After this there was a feast of the Jews, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem. Now there is in
A desperate man is like a very hungry man. A desperate man could be like a dangerous man in a sense too. He is ready to try to get anything that he believes he can get. Are you so desperate to excel for Jesus Christ in life? Your actions will show to all the degree of your desire. Many really have desires in life but it takes real determination, plus a lot of
discipline, to get to that desired place.
The Lord Jesus Christ himself at the pool discovered this man. To some of us this man had no faith. Why should Jesus go for a man who has no faith to be healed and delivered?
However, if we really think it through, we will see that this man possessed faith.
We are told that many always lie near the pool of
However, many had also left the pool after a long time only for somebody to get into the pool ahead of them, and so all their effort amounted to nothing. There is one thing worth noting in this story. Why would no one among the sick decide to stay in the pool instead of waiting for the moving of the water?
In that case, if the angel came; the moving of the water waves would reach him first before any one could jump in. What does this translate to in our day?
We need to be in the Word of God. We need to hear the Word of God with the proper hearing of faith. There is the need to pay particular attention to the Word of God, staying long in the logos till it turns to rhema. We should get ourselves soaked in the Word of God and saturated with the Living Water of the Word till that Word becomes flesh!
In this account, the man abandoned himself at the Throne of Grace refusing to go home. He knew God would show up but he did not know when. Relatives had forsaken him as had friends. No one seemed to care anymore for him. He was desperate for deliverance. He was watching the pool day and night. Even though he laid there helplessly with little or no strength as a paralyzed man, something in him was saying one day it would be his turn. Though he did not know how, he still kept his focus on the water.
Keep your focus on the Living Water; He is ever ready to satisfy you.
“For the Lord GOD will help Me;
Therefore I will not be disgraced;
Therefore I have set My face like a flint,
And I know that I will not be ashamed.
He is near who justifies Me;
Who will contend with Me?
Let us stand together.
Who is My adversary?
Let him come near
Surely the Lord GOD will help Me;
Who is he who will condemn Me?
Indeed they will all grow old like a garment;
the moth will eat them up.” (Isaiah 50:7-9)
He fixed his eyes on the Living God. He had seen many leaving that place rejoicing all the way to their homes. He believed one day it would be his turn. That was why whenever there was the stirring of the water by the angel on assignment; he would use all his strength to get to moving water first. He did not complain of a lack of strength or weakness and resign himself to die. No, he believed his day of destiny would come!
Finally, after 38 years in that condition, his day of destiny did come. Forty years makes a generation. Almost a generation of the life of this man had been wasted. May God restore our wasted years in Jesus’ Name.
A man walked up to him. He said: “Would like to be made whole sir?” It was a simple question. The man retorted: “I have no man to help me sir.” “Sir, would like to go home whole today?” The Lord Jesus asked again.
“I like to go home healed but there are many who have more strength more than I; and before I can get there, they are already in the moving water. Honestly I do not know how I can make it, but I believe in the LORD, that my day will come one day as I have resolved to make this place my home until I am healed,” said the man with the palsy.
“When Jesus saw him lying there, and knew that he already had been in that condition a long time, He said to him, ‘Do you want to be made well?’
The sick man answered Him, ‘Sir, I have no man to put me into the pool when the water is stirred up; but while I am coming, another steps down before me.’
Jesus said to him, ‘Rise, take up your bed and walk. And immediately the man was made well, took up his bed and walked.’ ” (John 5:6-9)
The Lord Jesus saw that the man had been there a long time. The Lord knows what you have been passing through and what you are currently encountering or that is challenging your faith in Him. Hold on to the Word of the Lord. He never fails.
Fix your eyes on Him. He is faithful. He is rewarder of them that diligently seeks Him. He knows your strength is small but He is your strength and refuge (Psalm 46:1). Only do not give up your faith.
Hannah had been going to
“Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us.” (Ephesians 3:20)
Jesus reached out and touched this man and that was the end and expiry of 38 years of suffering affliction. Indeed, weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning (Psalm 30:5).
DARE TO BE DIFFERENT
I remember a true-life story of a minister of the gospel in my country,
To be continued next week.....................

MOSES AT MARAH Part 2
This week, I am bringing to readers of this blog the concluding part of Moses at Marah.
This is also from a chapter in the book coming out in July, 2008 titled HIS HELPING HANDS
You will be imparted and ignited as you read.
At this juncture, I will want you know to note this:
Fact is different from Truth.
This may sound illogical butI am bold to say it is veritable. The fact about a situation
is different from the truth. In this situation, the fact is the
Israelites are in Marah where the water had all along been
bitter even before they got there. People who are nomads in
the wilderness would have had this knowledge before the
children of Israel crossed over the Red Sea. This is a fact!
This cannot be disputed by anyone. It is a fact.
However, the Truth came into the scene and caused a
change to be permanently recorded in history till today. I am
sure the people left a permanent, memorable and indelible
footprint in Marah. That which had been known as a fact was
indeed changed before their own very eyes. This is Truth in
action. What an awesome Almighty God we serve. This is
marvellous. The medical fact today says one thing but when
the Truth comes into the situation He reverses it and medical
specialists are bewildered. The Truth, Himself, is God of all
flesh!
“Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh.
Is there anything too hard for Me?” (Jeremiah
32:27)
Moses had learnt in Egypt the art of crying out to
Jehovah!
He enacted this at Marah. He prayed to Yahweh in the
wilderness. Moses knew what God can do in the city, He can
also do in the forest or desert or wilderness. That is to say,
God is God of the mountains, valleys, as well as the plains.
God is not only omnipresent, omniscience and omnipotent
but Yahweh is also eternal, the Ever-living God!
We are very much in the age of high tech devices and
systems. All these are good for us, if we use them positively.
Alternatively, we can allow them to use us or even become
idols to us or our god. The choice is yours. God seeks our
fellowship more than anything else. Jesus told Martha in
Bethany:
“But one thing is needed, and Mary has chosen
that good part, which will not be taken away from
her.” (Luke 10:42)
Moses learnt the art of choosing that good part. We need
to copy that today. We need to follow the footprints of those
who had gone ahead of us, especially those who triumphed
in the faith like Moses.
Moses called out to heaven and heaven was rent. Help
poured down. His helping hands were revealed in the Marah
situation in which God’s people found themselves on the
way to the promised land of milk and honey. Beloved, our
Father has promised us similar ‘milk and honey’ in our ownjourney in this world to that heavenly Canaan land.
As they encountered their own Marah, we are surely to
encounter our own too. We must all be prepared. There is,
however, one joy before us even here on earth. Before the
battle begins we are assured of victory, as we remain steadfast
in Him.
“For whatever is born of God overcomes the
world. And this is the victory that has overcome
the world - our faith. Who is he who overcomes
the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the
Son of God?” (1 John 5:4-5)
On to our knees we must go and cry out when we find
ourselves in a Marah situation.
I mean we really need to pray as hard as we can. One
of my mentors says: If you pray well, you will live well. I
believe this with all of my heart.
I will end this chapter with a vivid testimony of a situation
I was personally involved in and how the art of crying
out revealed the Truth in a beloved sister’s life, and changed
her marriage forever.
10 YEARS BARRENESS BROKEN
I was in my office, just as any other day, at work in the
year 2000. One of my aides came to me and said there is
woman from another church in the city wanting to see me.
I gave permission for her to be let in. We were in Ibadan,
Nigeria, West Africa which is the second largest city in
Nigeria located in the South-western part of the country.
I was then priviledged to be the Senior Pastor of Christ
Life Church Headquarters popularly known in Nigeria as
Sword of the Spirit Ministries; the Presiding Bishop was
then Dr Francis Wale Oke. He is still the Presiding Bishop. This woman began to reel out her story to me. It was really
a Marah-like situation.
She began thus:
“I was married ten years ago with the high expectation
of a newly married woman to have my own children.
I realised the journey to motherhood was not going to be
easy when after one year of marriage, there was still no child
forthcoming. There were instances when I took in for about
three weeks or so, all these led to miscarriages. I resulted to
consulting spiritualists and herbalists, and was ready to eat
and drink all kinds of medicines, some prepared in an unhygienic
manner just to get a child of my own.
After some years, as I found this was not working, I
switched over to consulting Islamic clerics. This also did
not work for me. In the midst of this saga, I gave my life
to Jesus Christ having been told all my problems would be
solved. I had high hopes after giving my life to Jesus Christ
believing now was the end of all my travails, as I was told
testimonies of many other people with similar cases to mine
or even worse.
Initially, my pastor and other brothers and sisters in the
church received me with joy. I was happy to get a family
outside my natural family that cared. I did not know this
would be short-lived. After a few years, my case seemed
to defy any solution, my ‘new found family’ began to react
negatively to me. Some of them even believed that I was an
agent of Satan in the church on evil assignment. It was so
tough for me.
“Why should this happen to me? I cried to God, more or
less complaining to God. I could not understand after a lot of
prayers, night and day, at times with fasting, yet it seemed as
if I would remain barren for life.
“After more than 9 years of marriage, I decided no more
fasting. I would live my life normally, and with no more high
hopes for a child of my own. So I purposed in my heart, not
knowing God had His own agenda for me. I believe He has
one for everyone else who trusts in Him too.
“Finally, one night came in my life and marriage that
was to be much remembered. I will never forget because of
how events later turned out to be. This memorable night I
had a dream. This was not just any dream. It was unusual.
I remember very well every detail of this dream. I immediately
knew I must act on this dream. This is what brought me
to your office.”
At this juncture, I just pitied her but I was helpless myself
as a pastor. I was asking myself: Who asked her to come to
my office? What do I do, Lord, in this situation? I imagined
myself being in her situation, childless for about 10 years
into my marriage!
I could see in Africa, especially where I came from in
Nigeria, what throe and agony, I and especially my wife
would have gone through from my extended family side. For
this is really very serious in Nigeria. A newly wedded wife is
normally told that she is not married to her husband only but
also to the rest of the extended family of her husband.
This is the tradition. Not that they can do such things
with her like sleeping with her but they do actually have a
measure of influence to make things difficult for her in her
home and marriage. Thank God for Christianity eroding this
unbiblical tradition. I did not know where to begin with her.
Then she continued again from where she stopped.
“I saw in my dream, a man who came to me and gave me
a word. He said: ‘Go to Christ Life Church and see the Senior
Pastor. Let him pray for you and stay within the church for 3
days and nights seeking My face. After this let him pray for
you again.’ This is my story”
I do not know what you are going through right now
that appears like Marah. I want to prophesy into your life, if
you believe, as you are reading this book, that my God will
change your story to a glory in Jesus’ name. Amen.
By this time, the Holy Ghost has helped by flooding my
heart with light. I just wrote some scriptures in the Bible for
her to read, meditate and pray with. No prayer pointers, only
the Word of God! I mean, the infallible, Word of God, living
and powerful and sharper than any two-edged sword (Heb
4:12).
“Forever, O LORD, Your word is settled in
heaven.” (Psalm 119:89)
I, thereafter, prayed a simple prayer with her. I sent my
personal assistant to the Chief Security man over the ministry
premises called the Garden of Victory at Olaogun Old Ife
Road, Ibadan, Nigeria. I instructed him to personally make
sure everything went well with the woman sleeping in the
church, just to seek the face of the Lord, for three days and
nights. The woman was then led to the main sanctuary of the
church. At the end of the three days, I prayed simply with the
woman and sent her on her way home.
BITTER TO BETTER
It was a Shiloh experience for her without any visible
sign. She did not fall under the anointing as I prayed with
her. No shaking or goose bumps were felt or seen on her
body.
No spectacular vision or dream.
Obedience, indeed, is better than sacrifice. Beloved,
whatever the Lord is asking you to do this hour, just go
ahead to do it. Therein lies your rest. Obedience is a key to
entering your rest and getting that breakthrough you desperately
need.
At the end of three months, the same woman wanted to
see me. I ushered her in. She came in smiling. May God
turned your weeping to laughter in Jesus’ name. It made me
remember the Scripture that says:
“Weeping may endure for a night but joy comes
in the morning.” (Psalm 30:5)
She recanted how after she missed her menstrual period,
as the manner of woman is, wanting to make sure all is well,
she went for a medical test where it was confirmed that she
was pregnant. Not much of a thing to celebrate because she
had had miscarriages on a few occasions. Then, she hid it for
3 months! Just like Hannah and Elizabeth in the Bible, when
the fullness of time came, at the end of nine months, she
brought forth a male child. God is good and faithful.
The God of wonders had done it again! I rejoiced with
her. We gave thanks to God who had turned this Marah to
sweetness like He did as Moses cried to Him at Marah.
In concluding this chapter, I want you to know that the
Almighty God is able to do much more that you can ever
ask or imagine. Moses prayed. He cried out! Are you ready
to cry out too? When you are in a Marah situation, it is not
a time to mumble your prayers. It is a time to cry out! Learn
to do it.
“Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly
above all that we ask or think, according to
the power that works in us.” (Eph 3:20)
I live in the beautiful city state of Singapore in South-east
Asia. I have located parks where I encountered God. I have
been with one of my friends in ministry, Pastor Chidi Ujubuonu
of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Singapore
to the highest point in Singapore called Bukit Timah Hill
to pray. Locate your own Mount of Olives or Gethsemane
as the Lord Jesus was wont to do when on earth. It was His
custom while here on earth to fellowship with His Father
regularly.
It is time to cry out to heaven. On to our knees like the
saints of old! The Throne of Grace is waiting to respond to
cries for release of grace and mercy.
“Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who
has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of
God, let us hold fast
our confession. For we do nothave a High Priest who cannot sympathize with
our weaknesses, but was in all
points tempted
as
we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come
boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain
mercy and find grace to help in time of need.”
(Hebrews 4:14-16)
Everyone of us should learn and master the art of crying out to the Lord!
Few minutes of crying out to the Lord could make a whole lot of difference
and could reverse a whole lot of negative tendency or consequence! It is high time,
we stopped running from pillar to post seeking human sympathy which can cause
murmuring, grumbling, complaining, fearing, fretting, worrying, etc.
