HIS HELPING HANDS-HINTS

As promised, I would be sharing some pages from the soon-to-be published book: His Helping Hand.

In this post, I will just share with my readers the commendation by my Pastor, Pastor Yang Tuck Yoong, Senior Pastor, Cornerstone Community Church, Singapore. He is a man who loves the Lord greatly, a preacher of righteousness; an embodiment of agape-love in the body of Christ.

COMMENDATION OF HIS HELPING HAND

"John Ekundayo is above all else, a man of prayer and faith. Through the

years that I have been privileged to be acquainted with him, I have been

stirred up many times by his discipline of prayer, his fiery zeal for

the Lord and his amazing walk of faith. Just beside my office in the

church is our prayer room and I have walked pass that room on countless

occasions, when no one is around, only to hear groanings, interspersed

with prayer and speaking in other tongues, and to see a man lying

prostrate on the floor seeking the face of God. That's the posture I

have come to identify my friend and colleague, John Ekundayo. He knows

where to go to when he is in need. Not to the Senior Pastor's office,

but to the Throneroom of the King Himself. So when he writes a book on

"Helping Hands", you have got to know it is real. Like the Psalmist of

old who cried out: "I will lift up my eyes to the hills, from whence

comes my help? My help comes from the Lord who made heaven and earth",

John understands where his help comes from. If the Lord can make heaven

and earth, surely he is able to help you. This book is all about trust;

about who you look for when in need and where do you go to when you are

in trouble. May the Lord inspire you through this delightful book which

I commend heartily to you".

CULTURE VERSUS CHRISTIANITY

We are in days where we need to make our stand and/or choices.
We can not stand on the fence.

We need to choose between culture and our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

Read about this declaration by one of the seasoned pastors in the vineyard of the Lord,
Pastor Sunday Adelaja:

"If we don't engage the culture," he said, "the culture is going to overrun the church."

Consider This!

Dearly beloved,
As I was involved in staff prayer meeting today, as is the norm every Wednesday,
my spirit was stirred up.

It came this way:
Road of Righteousness,
Pathway of Purity,
Highway of Holiness.

Jesus says: "Seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you" (Matt 6:33).

Paul told Timothy, his own son in the faith: "Keep thyself pure" (Tim 5:22).

Isaiah said in his prophecy: "
And an highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it; but it shall be for those: the wayfaring men, though fools, shall not err therein" (Isaiah 35:8).

We are living in an age in which many believe that in Christianity, you can do anything anyhow and it does really matter. It is noteworthy in these passages that the foundation of God stands sure: 'every one that names the name of Christ should depart from iniquity' (2Tim 2v22) and we should like Paul the Apostle put it in the Scriptures: 'work out your salvation with fear and trembling' (Phil 2v13).

The day of the Lord is drawing near. We need to watch and pray lest we fall into temptation.
Thank God for His sufficient Grace that is able o keep us to the end.
We started the journey with Grace and it is Grace will lead us home on the Road of Righteousness, leading to Pathway of Purity and finally taking us to the Highway of Holiness. We shall then be in His Presence and we shall see Him as he is.

May we get there together with our garment white and unspotted; and our heads not lacking oil.
Remember He is coming for a glorious Church not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing but that it should holy and without blemish(Eph 5v25-27).

Your comments are welcome!

John Ekundayo.

MY FEAR

I was writing a comment my son's blog, Le Dynamique Professeur, today when this inspiration to write this post came up.

What is my fear? What of yours too?

We definitely all have our fears. Yours might be different from mine.

Beware of your fear. What you fear may happen to you eventually.
Job in the Bible said: "For the thing which I greatly feared is come upon me, and that which I was afraid of is come unto me."(Job 3:25).

In one of her famous speeches, Aung San Suu Kyi, the Nobel Peace Winner from Myanmar, once said: "It is not power that corrupts but fear. Fear of losing power corrupts those who wield it and fear of the scourge of power corrupts those who are subject to it."

What you fear of losing, you will eventually lose. Somebody once said that why they were many dictators in history was the fear of losing power to another.

There is however one Fear, all of us should have.
It is the Fear of God Almighty, our Maker, Creator and Former.
He is the Infinite, Invisible and Immortal Being ruling over the Heaven and Earth.

My advice: Fear nothing or nobody but God.
What is the Fear of God?
It is the hatred for Evil.
For in God there is Godliness and Goodness.
It promotes. It exalts. It is a lifter.
Men and Women in history like Job, Daniel, Samuel,
Joseph, Martin Luther King, Mother Theresa, etc were
Honoured and lifted because they feared God.
I choose the Fear of God and I treasure it.
I pray for more of His Fear in my heart daily.

What you can picture, you can capture,
What you can believe, you can become (anonymous).

Do you want to choose His fear above Gold or Silver or any possession?
It is your choice.

Thanks for the time to read; please, I would welcome your comments.
